Data Controller, The person responsible for operating the website and processing personal data through it is Karin Ben Zaken, Berlinim, a community website of the "Israelis Living in Berlin" community. Berlinim is a privately operated, volunteer-based community initiative and is not, by itself, the organizer of every event published on the website. Where an event is organized or operated by a third party, the identity of the relevant event organizer will be indicated on the event page where applicable.

Personal Data We Collect, When registering for an event, the following information may be collected: first and last name, email address, telephone number, number of participants, and the names of additional participants where provided as part of the registration. When contacting us through the contact form, we may collect your name, email address and the content of your message. In addition, the website's technology and infrastructure providers may automatically process technical information required for the operation and security of the website and for the prevention of misuse, such as IP address, browser type, operating system, access times and similar technical information.
3. Purposes and Legal Basis for Processing, Event registration information is processed for the purpose of managing registrations, sending registration confirmations, providing information relating to the event, and verifying registration or admission to the event. Processing is carried out pursuant to Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where necessary for registration or participation in an event, and pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR where there is a legitimate interest in operating and securing the website and properly managing an event. Where specific processing requires consent, it will be carried out on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Information submitted through the contact form is processed for the purpose of handling the inquiry and providing a response, based on the legal basis applicable to the circumstances of the inquiry.
4. Third Party Events and Payments, Some events published on the website may be operated or organized by third parties. Where a third party event requires payment, Berlinim does not process or store users' credit card details, bank account details or other payment method information. Users may be redirected through an external link to a payment page operated by the event organizer or an external payment service provider, such as PayPal. Payment is made directly between the user and the event organizer or the party receiving the payment. Berlinim is not a party to the payment transaction and does not receive or retain payment method information provided as part of that transaction. Messages submitted through the contact form are retained for as long as necessary to process and respond to the inquiry and will subsequently be deleted when there is no longer a need to retain them, subject to any applicable statutory retention obligations.

Sharing Information with Event Organizers, Where an event is operated by a third party and the transfer of certain information to the organizer is necessary for managing registration or conducting the event, relevant information may be shared with the event organizer. Where such a transfer is required, appropriate information will be provided to the user during registration or on the relevant event page, where required by law. Personal data that is not necessary for the purpose for which it was collected will not be shared with a third party unless there is another legal authorization or obligation to do so.
